Ismaeel (Ish) started in the orthotic industry in 1998 joining his Father in the family Pedorthic business cutting materials and pouring plaster and manufacturing orthotics and completing shoe modifications in the on-site lab. He began training to become a Pedorthist in 2006 and during this time period gained experience with manufacturing traditional pedorthic devices and utilized different custom foot orthotic systems including Sharpe Shape and Amfit. He became a C. Ped (c) in 2010. He gained experience in various clinical settings including diabetic wound care, orthopaedic bracing and post-operative devices. The clinic practice began to grow, Ish began to gain a keen interest in the manufacturing and left the clinical environment to excel and gain knowledge in mass manufacturing of foot orthoses in Canada. After seeing and experiencing first hand various orthotic laboratories providing poor quality and often times non-custom prefabricated insoles, he sets his sights on using his knowledge and expertise to create an Orthotic Lab that created %100 custom devices and could support various clinic practices including Podiatrists, Chiropodists, Pedorthist and various health care professionals with a keen interest in integrating traditional manufacturing methods with the digital world.
